Ghost Tour and Ceilidh
Join us on a journey down into the underground chambers hidden beneath the South Bridge - a ghostly spot, once described by a BBC reporter as...
'possibly the most haunted place in Britain'.
Follow our dramatic, cloaked guides and be chilled to the bone with authentic tales of Edinburgh's grim and gruesome past. Reach out and touch ancient stone walls and hold your breath as every sound in the stillness becomes an eerie, haunted footstep.
But this is an evening of contrast. Your spine-chilling tour of Edinburgh's haunted vaults is followed by a heart-warming evening of dance, song and excellent hospitality at a traditional Scottish Ceilidh. Restore your spirits with our live ceilidh band, traditional haggis, neeps and tatties supper and a bar for the drouthy.
Underground Edinburgh's Ghost Tour and Ceilidh is the only event in Edinburgh and the Lothians which includes a tour of the unique vaults beneath the South Bridge coupled with a traditional Scots supper. Our caller talks novices through the dances while a varied band programme allows local tourists to visit again and again. Each band brings their own variations on popular favourites - so guests can learn the Shetland Strip-the-Willow and the Orkney Strip-the-Willow as well as standard Eightsome Reels and Dashing White Sergeants.
In the true Scottish tradition, at our ceilidhs guests entertain, as they are entertained!
“Buffet looked great, Ghost Tour was superb! Hope to work with you again.”
